Dulce de Leche with a spinach, ricotta filling based on flavors from Uruguay and throughout Latin America. Suggested
by our Kindergarten Teacher, Walki.
Arroz con Gandules - a twist on the American
style 'rice and beans' this Puerto Rican dish comes straight to us from the kitchen of our Preschool Teacher, Evelyn.
Beef
or Veggie Empanadas - This Argentinian staple has become a favorite at Escuelita thanks to one of our Preschool Teachers
(and chef).
Torta de Huevo con Ejote - This side dish combines scrambled egg
and green beans lightly floured and formed into patties, a Mexican recipe brought to us by an Escuelita family member.
Ensalada
Verde - mixed greens and tart apple slices lightly tossed in a tropical vinaigrette.
Cafe
de Olla - Coffee served hot alongside the pastry and dessert table.
Flan
de Vanilla y Arroz con Leche will satisfy any sweet tooth craving - both desserts are found throughout Latin America.
