Classroom Assistant - Fluent Spanish speakers are needed to assist with preschool classroom activities, summer camps and after-school programs.  Assistants are expected to support teachers in all aspects of running a class; i.e. supervising children, preparing craft materials, singing, playing games, providing snack and cleaning up the classroom.

 

Office Assistant - This person will work side by side with the Office Manager on a variety of administrative projects.  Responsibilities may include database entry, preparing mailings, running errands, layout and printing of classroom photos, filing and organizing, creating printed materials and brochures, shredding paper, returning phone calls, etc.  Organization and energy a must, Spanish speaking and some experience with digital photography helpful but not required.

 

Digital Photography/Video Coordinator - This is a unique opportunity for someone to design and implement a system for the documentation of classroom activity through a photo/video journal.  Escuelita strives to offer parents a glimpse of their child's daily experience on a regular basis by capturing activities through photography, however we need to further train our teachers on the basics of digital photography and photo editing software as well as how to layout and print their journals for families.

 

This person will also be responsible for creating a video documentation of classroom activities.  This project entails recording teacher/student activites during preschool hours, some after school hours and special events.  Editing and converting video to usable clips will be an extremely important component and adding audio and creating various modes of presentation will finalize the project.
